chipmunks

Caleta de Fuste is known for the friendly chipmunks (actually Barbary ground squirrels) living near the coastline and rocky areas. They are cute to watch and take pictures of, but tourists should not feed them, as it disrupts the local ecosystem. They’re easier to find outside the city center; walking south between La Playa del Castillo and La Playa de La Guirra (C.C Atlantico) is one of the best spots.

HOW TO GET

harbour

Abierto todos los días del año, este centro comercial ofrece cualquier demanda de servicios del consumidor. Si desea evadirse tiene la opción de disfrutar de las seis salas del único multicines de la isla de Fuerteventura.

HOW TO GET

Playgrounds

Caleta has several children’s playgrounds with swings, slides, and soft flooring. They are located near the beach, next to shopping centers, and around residential areas. Perfect for families looking for safe free activities for kids.

HOW TO GET

skatepark

& football field

A small but very nice skatepark, great for kids and teenagers. It includes ramps, rails, and open space for skating. Next to it there is a small football field (5-a-side), perfect for friendly games. Both areas are free to use and illuminated until midnight, making evening play possible. A little hidden from the city but not far away, located between the bus station and the C.C Atlantico.

HOW TO GET

Ice Cream

Ice cream shops and cafés are everywhere in Caleta. Visitors can find gelato, soft ice cream, crepes, granizadas, and frozen yogurt. Many places stay open late into the evening, which makes it ideal for an after-dinner walk by the sea.
