chipmunks
Caleta de Fuste is known for the friendly chipmunks (actually Barbary ground squirrels) living near the coastline and rocky areas. They are cute to watch and take pictures of, but tourists should not feed them, as it disrupts the local ecosystem. They’re easier to find outside the city center; walking south between La Playa del Castillo and La Playa de La Guirra (C.C Atlantico) is one of the best spots.

Both areas are free to use and illuminated until midnight, making evening play possible. A little hidden from the city but not far away, located between the bus station and the C.C Atlantico.

Ice cream shops and cafés are everywhere in Caleta. Visitors can find gelato, soft ice cream, crepes, granizadas, and frozen yogurt. Many places stay open late into the evening, which makes it ideal for an after-dinner walk by the sea.
